Chris Sanger
Chris SangerChris is head of tax policy at Ernst & Young. He leads the firm's tax policy practice, developing proposals for changes in tax policy across the whole spectrum of taxation, from major policy reforms through to practical implementation of regulations and guidance. 

Chris has extensive experience in advising governments throughout the world. He joined HM Treasury as head of business tax policy, where he advised the Chancellor of the Exchequer, junior ministers and special advisers on the next stage in reforming the business taxation system, as well as covering the Budget policy process and combining the individual Budget measures into a coherent package.

Chris is the chairman of the Tax Faculty of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He is the founder of the ICAEW's Tax Policy Committee. He is also a member of the CIOT’s management of taxes committee, and a member of the tax law review committee of the Institute of Fiscal Studies. He is the founding chairman of the tax committee of the Alternative Investment Management Association.
