The Taxation Awards made their debut in 2001 and quickly became recognised as marks of excellence within the tax sector. The prizes are now much sought-after by UK tax professionals, whether they work for multinational companies or practise as independent advisers. From a modest beginning, the Taxation Awards have grown with every passing year and are now a major event in the tax industry’s annual calendar. Categories include Best General Tax Practice, Tax Writer of the Year, Best VAT Team, Lifetime Achievement, Best Technological Innovation, Taxation's Rising Star, and Tax Personality of the Year. There is also a special prize of CTA of the Year. Anyone within the profession can put themselves, their colleagues or their employer forward for nomination. Past winners include TaxAid (the charity that provides free tax advice to the under-privileged), television's Taxable family, Geoff and Diana Jones (the winners of the landmark Arctic Systems case), HMRC permanent secretary for tax Dave Hartnett, and a multitude of companies both large and small. For more than 80 years, Taxation has been the UK's leading authority on tax law, practice and administration. Subscribe now to receive your own weekly copy of Taxation magazine and full access to the new-look Taxation.co.uk - both of which offer expert news, analysis, commentary, advice and much more. |
